Have you been to a movie lately? Have you seen any previews on TV? If you have and one of those previews was of “Blind Side” you definitely need to go see that movie!

Based on a true story out of Memphis, it’s about this kid separated from his mother, then taken in by this family that teaches him how to play football where he becomes a great NFL player.

Sandra Bullock plays the mom and does an awesome job. One of the best lines I though(or one that I can remember right now) is “he’s like an onion, just peel him back in laters, “where’s my knife”

Go see the movie!

Hello All

I’ve been gone for some time now. In fact, almost a year.  I think it’s about time for me to start writing again. Yay!

Today, I was driving the dogs to the groomers and while listening to the radio, I heard a commercial. The commercial I think was promoting lip gloss. I know I didn’t hear the whole thing but what I did catch was hilariously funny IMO.

Announcer, “what would you do for the economy?” Response, “Oh that’s simple, Lip Gloss!”

Glad I carry chapstick in my pocket.

I miss you mom! Wish you were here so I could celebrate it with you one more time.  I do miss you so much.  There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you, or even sense you are nearby.

Howdy folks!

I hope you are all well.  I’m still here and making ends meet.  Life is busy let me tell ya!  I’ve taken a trip back to Alabama a couple times the last few months.  Had an uncle pass away.  Recently my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer.  He should start chemo treatments next week.

If  you’ve read long(a year ago) I purchased a new 2008 kia sportage.  I need to get rid of it if you know of anyone that’s interested.

Last night, several of us went to see the movie Xmen-Origins featuring Wolverine.  All in all it was a pretty good movie.  I’m ready for Star Trek, Harry Potter and Transormers II to come out.

That’s a few things of what’s been in my head. ttyl

It’s been some time since I’ve written anything. I always say i’ll update more frequently. However, life gets going and the things that aren’t so top priority get moved.

I found out today, well I’ve had about a four days to gather the hint, that my dad has lung cancer. It’s stage four. Meaning that the cancer isn’t just in his lung. It’s in other areas.
Doc gives him four to six months without chemotherapy and maybe a year with chemo. Dads heart is strong so he is up for the fight. I just hope his spirit is.

Just a few days ago, I was in Alabama.  This weekend I was in Memphis for a bowling tournament, www.spitmemphis.com, we did alright.

Now a look into the future, next weekend, March 19-22, I’ll be in New Orleans!  I’m so excited!  I’ve never been before.  So this trip will be one for the books!

There is a certain cajun I’m hoping to meet if he’s in town!

The weather is changing! Isn’t it grand?  I hope you remembered to change your clocks and didn’t miss anything today.  I know there were several things that were done around the house this weekend. Even went to see Watchmen!

We started out by moving the furniture around in the living room.  That was fun let me tell ya!  I took the whole entertainment center down component by component.  We moved everything in there.  Then I didn’t like any place we put the furniture. So what did we do? We put everything back in its original place.

We did take the loveseat out.  Which btw was way overdue!  We also cata cornered the sofa a bit.  It looks ok.

Now we made arrangements to see the new movie “Watchmen” which started on Friday night.  We met a friend at applebees at 6 and then headed to the show by 8.  Let me tell ya, it was a good movie.

The movie starts out slow, they build the characters by telling stories of the past.  They connect the storyline at the end.  By the middle of the show you have to go to the bathroom but you want to wait, because you’ll be afraid you’ll miss something!  At least, that is how I felt.  I waited till the end of the movie before I went.  =)

I recommend this movie if you are at all interested.

Spring is in the air. Everywhere I look around. Isn’t that the beginning of a song?

I tell you, I know I have the fever! If it isn’t going to snow, it needs to warm up and let the trees start to bloom again!

This week is looking B E A U T I F U L !  50 degrees the high today, 60 tomorrow and 70’s by Friday and over the weekend.  I think Saturday I might work in the yard raking leaves and such.

Money is pretty tight, so I’m sure I won’t be buying much.  Just to have my flower beds cleaned out will be nice!

I hope everyone’s week is as nice as mine is going to be!

In today’s world, technology pretty much leads our everyday life.  From moving inventory, routing truckloads of equipment, multitasking and communication.

With email at the touch of your fingertips(literally) why is it so hard for co workers to let you know what they need?

Now I like things written down. I’m very likely to forget you told me something that needed to be done.  Now if you hand me a piece of paper, or email me what you need; It’s likely to get done.

If I have to go digging around in your room to find stuff and you get angry because of it, don’t blame me! 

Your lack of planning, does not constitute an emergency on my part!

A simple note in my box, or an email will suffice.
