Do You Visit Six Flags
Would you believe that Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has been around nearly 12 years? Yea, I didn’t think it was labeled “Six Flags” till the year 2000. But what do I know?
Theme parks are one of a few cheap getaways for me. Last night I received an email concerning one of my favorite parks, Kentucky Kingdom. The email read that the park would be closing because Six Flags and the Kentucky State Fair couldn’t come to an agreement regarding the lease.
I’m really upset about it. I mean, Kentucky Kingdom is only 2 1/2 hours away vs the drive to Atlanta, GA. Seems as thought that’s where I’ll need to go now. Not to mention that the season pass at Kentucky Kingdom was always cheaper than the Atlanta based theme park.
Although this last year, I did buy tickets and never went. It was always one of my options. Now, I guess i’ll be traveling to Atlanta more often. Kentucky Kingdom will be missed.
