Do Not Look Down
You’ve done it, I’ve done it, we’ve all done it. It’s right there in front of you, but yet we all just ignore it. It’s waiving in our faces, but yet, we never acknowledge it’s there.
What am I talking about? I’m talking about that piece of paper, that plastic coke bottle, or that empty bag of leftover chips, that people always seem to walk past and never put in a trash receptacle. Heck, we even kick it sometimes just for fun. We never muster enough energy to simply bend over and throw it in the garbage.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m guilty of it.
It’s kind of funny though to sit back and watch how many feet step on, step over, or simply step away to avoid it.
Don’t look down! You might actually bend over to pick it up!

See, this one time….what had happened was…I did reach down to pick up a plastic bottle. Just natural instinct, cause I’m not a litter bug, and it bugs me to see litter…so anyway, I picked up this bottle when I realized it had some yellow liquid in it, which didn’t make since, cause you see, it wasn’t a mello yello or mountain dew bottle. It was in fact a pepsi bottle. So why was there a yellow liquid in it with the top screwed back on it?? When the little yellow light bulb went off in my head, I screamed and threw it back down. Now if anyone saw me throw it down, they would think I was the litter bug, be we all know I don’t have the skills to fill a pepsi bottle with that kind of yellow liquid….know what I mean, Vern?
So yea, I’m guilty of stepping over some things, but never throwing them down…except for that one time.
